IPL T20 Schedule 2014 – Pepsi IPL 7 Schedule

The much awaited IPL 2014 is just around the corner. All cricket fanatics should get ready for one heart pounding and exciting season of IPL. The T20 format of IPL is only going to make the matches that much more exciting to witness. The seventh season of IPL is going to be legendary and this is something that no cricket fan should miss. All cricket fans should know the timetable well enough so as to ensure that nothing is missed out on.

There will be fifty-six matches in total. Since the matches will be clashing with the 2014 General Elections, the initial 20 matches will take place in collaboration with the United Arab Emirates. The opening matches that will be played there from April 16th to 30th will be divided among the stadiums of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. The first match is scheduled to take place on 16th April 2014; Wednesday in the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi at 8PM IST and the opposing teams will be Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders.

Mumbai Indians is going to be a tough team to compete with considering the fact that they were victorious in both the IPL as well as Champions league. Though Sachin will not be playing this season, they have retained exceptional players and will definitely put up a tough match. Kolkata Knight Riders will really have to bring something to the table in order to challenge Mumbai Indians. Though they have not been very successful, they have improved under the captaincy of Gautam Gambhir in the last season.

Mumbai Indians are going to be inaugurating the IPL as they are the defending champions. They will also be participating in the last match on 1st June against Rajasthan Royals in their home stadium, that is, Wankhede stadium.
